HEAT

NRSH HEAT CLASSES

Experience deep Yin to the soundtrack of chilled Ibiza beats. Increasing the therapeutic benefits of Yin yoga with the additional benefit of heat, this practice focuses on holding deep stretches for an extended period (1-5 mins), targeting deep connective tissues like tendons, fascia and ligaments, in order to lengthen and release built-up tension. Drawing on the three elements of Yin - Edge, Stillness and Time - we seek to arrange the body in postures to find an appropriate edge, which will be sustainable yet challenging, then settle into stillness and time to encourage the tissues to adapt. The benefits of regular Yin are both physical and psychological, including improved flexibility and mobility, as well as reduced stress and anxiety. A slow and mindful practice, which will cultivate a deep mind-body connection. Suitable for beginners. 60 mins. Practiced hot at 32 degrees, in deep red lighting, creating an environment bound to induce relaxation and release.
